What were Canadians known as in WW1

During World War I, Canadians were often referred to as "Canadians" or "Canadian soldiers." Additionally, the soldiers who served in the Canadian Expeditionary Force (CEF) were commonly called "Tommy," a term that was used more broadly for British soldiers at the time. The Canadian military gained recognition for its bravery, particularly through battles such as Vimy Ridge, and these soldiers played a significant role in the overall war effort. Canadian units, such as the Canadian Corps, earned a distinguished reputation for their effectiveness in combat.
