I have got on to sky cinema for the first time, on sky q to watch a movie for the first time, it's says watch or watch trailer, but if I select watch just get downloaded to my sky q recordings
It sounds like you're trying to watch a movie on Sky Cinema via Sky Q, but instead of streaming it, it seems to be downloading to your recordings. Here’s what you can do to address the issue:
1. **Ensure You Have the Right Subscription**: Make sure that your Sky Cinema subscription is active and up-to-date. If it’s expired or not included in your package, that could affect your ability to stream movies.
2. **Check the Settings**: Go to your Sky Q settings and make sure that you are set up to stream content. There might be an option that dictates whether you want to download or stream.
3. **Select the Right Option**: When you choose to watch a movie, make sure you are selecting the "Watch" option correctly. Sometimes there might be a brief menu that needs to be navigated.
4. **Check Internet Connection**: Ensure that your Sky Q box is connected to the internet. A poor or unstable connection might cause it to default to downloading instead of streaming.
5. **Try Restarting the Box**: Restart your Sky Q box. Sometimes, rebooting the device can resolve streaming issues.
6. **Update Software**: Make sure your Sky Q software is up-to-date, as updates can fix bugs or issues with streaming services.
7. **Contact Sky Support**: If none of the above solutions work, consider reaching out to Sky’s customer support for further assistance.
If you're still experiencing issues after trying these steps, Sky support should be able to provide more specific assistance based on your account and setup.
