During my industrial training, I encountered a significant challenge when my maize crop was attacked by fall armyworms. To effectively manage this pest issue, I used Rebenta, a chemical insecticide designed for such infestations. The application involved mixing 60 to 80 ml of Rebenta in 16 liters of water, ensuring the solution was well-prepared for effective coverage. I then employed a knapsack sprayer to uniformly spray the entire farm, targeting the infested areas to protect the maize plants and promote healthy growth. This hands-on experience not only enhanced my understanding of pest management but also improved my practical skills in agricultural treatments.
