To combat this issue, I utilized Rebenta, a recommended chemical for controlling such pests. The application process involved mixing 60 to 80 ml of Rebenta in 16 liters of water, which was then sprayed onto the affected areas using a knapsack sprayer. This method ensured effective coverage and targeted treatment of the infested plants, aiming to mitigate the impact of the fall armyworm on my maize crop. Update (2024-11-05): During my industrial training, I encountered a significant challenge when the maize I planted was attacked by fall armyworm. To manage this pest, we utilized Rebenta, a chemical treatment specifically designed for such infestations. The application was carried out using a knapsack sprayer, ensuring an even coverage across the affected areas. For the preparation of the solution, we mixed 60 to 80 ml of Rebenta with 16 liters of water, adhering to the recommended dosage for effective pest control. This approach not only aimed to mitigate the damage caused by the fall armyworm but also contributed to the overall health and yield potential of the maize crop. Through this experience, I gained valuable insights into pest management practices and their critical role in agricultural production.
